As we construct the Breathe Building, a Deep Green Retrofit of three existing structures enables us to create a great place in a great location. As we explain in the Project History, the Breathe Building was inspired by a committed group of yogis at Yoga Union.
Our location on 50th Avenue between Hawthorne Avenue and Division Street makes it easy to run errands, grab a tasty bite to eat, watch a film, or find bargains at thrift stores. According to Walk Score, there are 54 restaurants within a 15-minute walk of the Breathe Building!
Nerby Ivon Park, Clinton Park, and Mount Tabor provide opportunities to run, hike, swing, or throw a ball for the dog. Most Franklin High School students commute by public transit and many kids walk or bike to Atkinson and Richmond elementary schools.
Healthy grocery options are available nearby at People’s Food Co-op and People’s Farmers’ Market as well as New Seasons grocery stores at 41st and Hawthorne and 21st and Division. A Green Zebra is also slated to open on the corner of SE 50th and Division within the next year.
