Our blockwork has begun with concrete masonry units (CMU) from Willamette Graystone in Wood Village, OR. As we complete our Deep Green Retrofit of the Breathe Building, we will pair the existing brick of the Barrel Room and the Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) of the Center Building with new block for the North Building. Earlier this spring I vetted the concrete masonry units and discovered
Our blockwork will be done by Tim Vogt and his team from Creative Design Masonry (CDM). Tim Vogt founded CDM in 1996 in Eugene, OR. For nearly 20 years, CDM has been working on residential and small-scale commercial masonry projects. CDM has a special connection with the Breathe Building because the owner Tim Vogt is the father of Todd Vogt, who is one of the owners of Yoga Union. (Yoga Union will be one of the tenants in the Breathe Building once it is complete.)
We’re eager to see the walls go up and we’re pleased that CDM is going to do this work for us. Stay tuned as we post progress photos!
